Medi Compression Stockings and Braces in Vancouver

Medi compression socks, gloves, braces, and supports all sit in this collection. Choose compression garments for the legs and arms, or braces for joints and the back. Each listing shows the class, size range, and current price. Sizes sell quickly, so phone us to check stock before you visit.

Medi Mediven Compression Socks and Stockings

Mediven is the Medi name for its medical compression stockings. We stock Elegance, Karesse, Vitality, Plus, Angio, mJ-1 Metropole, and men's styles. Calf, thigh, and panty styles cover different parts of the leg. Most styles use Class 1, with pressure between 15 and 30 mmHg. A few styles use Class 2, which means 30-40 mmHg. Class 2 pressure calls for a doctor's advice before you start. Both open toe and closed toe versions appear in our range. Our compression sock level guide compares light, moderate, and firm pressure ranges. Compare other brands of leg compression in the compression socks collection.

Medi Maternity, Travel, and Cotton Compression

The Mediven Elegance maternity panty comes in Class 1 at 20-30 mmHg. Speak with a midwife or doctor before wearing compression in pregnancy. Read our pregnancy compression socks guide for advice trimester by trimester. The Medi Travel calf sock uses 18-20 mmHg for flights and long drives. See more travel options in the flight socks collection for long trips. Cotton calf and thigh styles use a soft cotton blend with 20-30 mmHg pressure. The Mediven Active calf sock also uses 20-30 mmHg for unisex wear. We also list the Thrombexin 18 calf sock in Class 1.

Medi Harmony Compression Gloves and Arm Sleeves

Mediven Harmony gloves come in fingerless and full finger versions. Both glove styles use Class 1 pressure of 20-30 mmHg. The Harmony arm sleeve has a top band that helps it stay in place. Doctors and therapists often prescribe arm compression for swelling in the arm or hand. A therapist should measure you, because arm and hand sizes vary widely. Browse the armsleeves collection to compare other compression sleeve brands.

Medi Circaid Adjustable Compression Garments

Circaid is a Medi line of adjustable compression for the lower leg. Medi describes Juxtalite as a garment for people who struggle with standard stockings. A measuring card lets the wearer check and re-adjust the pressure. Juxtalite HD offers firmer adjustable compression for treating swelling called edema. We list the Juxtalite HD lower leg garment and Circaid undersocks. Undersocks work as an add-on to the garment, according to Medi. A trained clinician should measure and fit any adjustable compression garment.

Medi Butler Donning Aids and Rubber Gloves

We stock the Medi Butler donning aids and a Medi rubber glove. Donning aids reduce the effort of pulling on a firm stocking. Rubber gloves add grip so you can smooth out wrinkles. Pull stockings on first thing, before swelling builds during the day. Seven simple techniques in our donning guide make firm socks easier to pull on. See the sock aid collection for more donning aids from other brands.

Medi Knee and Ankle Supports

Medi knee supports include Genumedi Pro, Genumedi PSS, Soft OA, and Stabimed Pro. Ankle supports include Levamed Active Silver, Levamed E+motion, and the RTS return to sport model. Only a clinician can tell whether you need a brace for pain or instability. Browse the knee supports collection and the ankle and foot supports collection.

Medi E+motion Sports Supports

E+motion is the Medi range of sports supports for five body areas. The range covers the knee, ankle, wrist, elbow, and back. Medi says the knit uses merino wool and wicks moisture away from skin. Medi also says the ergonomic knit moves with joints and leaves few wrinkles. Those claims come from Medi itself, based on its own testing. We stock Genumedi, Levamed, Lumbamed plus, Manumed active, and Epicomed in this range.

Medi Back, Wrist, Thumb, and Elbow Supports

Lumbamed back supports include Facet, Sacro, Basic Women, and Lumbamed plus. Protect.CSB is a back posture support, and Protect.Abdominal Support covers the abdomen. The Lumbamed maternity belt gives back support while a pregnancy progresses. Manumed wrist supports come in standard, active, T, and E+motion versions. Rhizomed thumb supports and the Medi thumb support steady the thumb joint. Epibrace is an epicondylitis bandage, and Epicomed E+motion supports the elbow.

Medi Shoulder Support and Kids Walking Boot

We list one Medi shoulder support, which carries the name Shoulder Action. A clinician should assess shoulder pain before you buy a support. Medi also makes a pediatric walking boot, listed as Walker Boot Kidz. A doctor should decide when a child needs a walking boot.

Choosing the Right Medi Size and Class

Correct size matters more than brand with any compression garment. Measure ankle and calf circumference in the morning, when swelling is lowest. Braces need a different measurement, usually around a joint or the waist. Class 1 suits many everyday needs, while Class 2 follows medical advice. Bring your prescription or clinician's note if you have one. Our team can compare your measurements with the size information on each listing.

How Medi Compares With Sigvaris and CEP

We also carry Sigvaris and CEP compression, and each one suits different needs. CEP is a sport brand that Medi added to its group in 2007. Browse the CEP compression collection for sport socks and sleeves. Medi and Sigvaris both make medical compression in many styles and pressures. Our team can compare brands for fit, price, and the pressure you need.

About the Medi Brand and Its History

Medi began in 1951 in Bayreuth, Germany, as a company called WeCo. Wolfgang Weihermuller and his cousin Gunter Voigtmann founded the company together. They started with three knitting machines and made rubber stockings in a former dance hall. Medical compression remains the core skill of the company after 75 years. Medi later added orthopedic aids and foot care to its range. CEP joined in 2007, followed by the ITEM m6 lifestyle brand in 2011. The family business has about 3,000 employees and sells to over 90 countries. Its headquarters remain in Bayreuth, where a third generation now leads the company.

Why Buy Medi at Yaletown Medical Supplies

Stockings, braces, and donning aids stay under one roof, so one trip is enough. Our staff will talk through class, size, and fit with you in person. Stock questions go to (236) 466-2141 or through our contact page. Some plans cover braces and compression garments, so ask your insurer first.

Medi Safety Tips

People with poor circulation, diabetes, or heart failure should check with a doctor first. Take the garment off if your skin goes numb, tingles, or hurts badly. Then check with your doctor before you wear it again. Check your skin daily for redness, blisters, and sores under any garment. Do not wear compression over open wounds or infected skin without clinician approval. Braces should feel snug and stable, never painful or tight enough to cut circulation. Persistent pain or swelling after an injury needs a medical assessment. A brace cannot replace a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Replace garments that look stretched or thin, because they lose pressure.
