How to Apply

Open the sterile packaging and peel back the paper backing. Center the foam pad directly over the incision. Press the adhesive border firmly against the surrounding skin, starting from the center and smoothing outward to remove air bubbles. The dressing bonds to skin at body temperature within a few minutes.

Do not apply over broken skin adjacent to the incision. Do not stretch the dressing during application. Do not apply on skin with active infection, dermatitis, or other skin conditions without medical guidance.

How to Remove

Removal is where Mepilex Border Post-Op stands out. Peel back one corner slowly, parallel to the skin surface rather than pulling straight up. The Safetac adhesive releases gradually without pulling at the skin or wound. There should be no pain, no skin damage, and no wound disturbance during removal.

If the dressing feels stuck at any point, stop and moisten the edge with sterile saline. Continue peeling once the edge releases. Never force removal — Safetac is designed to release cleanly with proper technique.

Sterile and Single-Use

Every Mepilex Border Post-Op arrives sterile in individually sealed packaging. Once opened, use immediately. Do not reuse partial dressings. Do not store opened dressings for later use. Dispose of used dressings in regular household garbage unless your healthcare provider gives different instructions for contaminated waste.

Important Notes
